FLOOD WARNING - 30 March 2025
Due to rain in the last few days, some of the roads leading to the monastery may be flooded, for example Colleges Crossing.
However, you may wish to check road safety information on this website if you plan coming to the monastery:
Alternative roads to the monastery if Colleges Crossing is flooded are the Mt. Crosby Weir/Explorers Bridge at Allawah Road and Stumers Road and Kholo Road.
The alternative road which gets flooded last is the route via Swenson Road and Banksia Drive.
We still have enough food, and lay guests present to offer it. If in doubt, or if you encounter flooding on the way, please better stay safe at home. We can manage, we still have enough food at the monastery.
On the other hand, if someone lives locally, or rains & flooding turns out not to be a problem from your location, we're open and will happily welcome anyone who likes to join our regular program.
Please take care, and never try to drive through flood waters!
